I traveled to northern Indiana to pick up an early Walker Turner table saw. The seller offered me this post drill that had come out of an old barn on his property that had belonged to his grandfather. I hesitated to acquire it thinking I already had too many pieces to fit in my shop but... took it anyway. It appeared complete and it looked to be a very interesting DP. I learned about Babbitt bearings and how to pour new ones. It only took me 4 times to get it right! I wanted it to appear like an old drill press might look hanging in a blacksmith's shop. So I decided heating and applying boiled linseed would do the trick. It came out like I'd hoped it would. There are no numbers or markings other than the company name and place of manufacturer.
Thanks for looking!
