I do not own this machine. However when I posted the seller’s photos several folks helped identify some snippets of useful information about the maker.

The seller listed the overall length as 39” and the weight (presumably as shown with the steel stand) as 288 lbs.

Herman Henry Klahn (1873 - 1962) was a patternmaker who lived and worked in Portland, Oregon, and it seems reasonable to assume that he had some hand in designing and/or building this jointer (which was recently advertised in Salem, Oregon). All we presently know about Mr. Klahn is that according to the September 1903 edition of The Patternmaker’s Journal Vol. 12, p. 16, he was reinstated as a patternmaker, and the 1915 Portland City Directory indicates that he was working for Pioneer Pattern Works.
