Inherited this drill press, and other Delta machines of similar vintage, from my dad. He was the original owner. I believe the model number is 15-008. I was born in 1955, and all the Delta machines are among my earliest memories of my dad's shop. Estimated mfgr date of this drill press is 1956. I've been using it frequently until the spindle bearings started growling badly about year 2020.
My dad added a mid-pulley mechanism for more spindle speeds, a chain-style table lift mechanism, and a chuck key keeper.
I'm currently restoring this machine with new belts, bearings, electrical and paint.

Mid-pulley dovetail attachment my dad designed and added to column to provide more spindle speeds. Been working great for over a half century.

Crank for 3rd party table lift mechanism. Was available from Craftsman I believe. My dad adapted it to the table knuckle.
