This was my Grandfather's saw which I was gifted after he passed away in 1985. It was used to construct an addition to his home in Gem, AB in the late 40's, as well as a home in Calgary where he retired in 1955. I've used it for many small projects over the years, and continue to do so. It needs a bit of maintenance, but still works fine. A unique feature is the motor mounted on a hinged platform underneath with the weight of the motor supplying tension to the pulley.
