Comments:
I bought this drill from a marketplace ad. The owner didn't know its exact history, but it likely came from a shop in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. The drill was patented in 1883 and was produced for many years with various accessories/optional features. This drill has a repaired operating lever, and the lever catch arm was welded to the frame. There was a vbelt electric motor setup on this drill, but the motor was missing. My goal was to hook it to a lineshaft, but I found an excelsior 20" with power feed and back gear that will be taking its place.
