This is my fifth old woodworking machine restoration. It's a Delta 14-inch band saw on a cast arn base SN: 78-9708, which makes the year of manufacture 1949. It's powered by a 1/3HP 1 phase Doerr motor that I bought off the ePay.
I bought this machine from a Craig's List Unisaw listing. It was in the background of a pitcher for a nice Unisaw. So, after searching for the band saw in any other Craig’s List listing, I called the Unisaw seller about the band saw. It was for sale; same price as the Unisaw, $400. I bought it instead of the Unisaw. It turns out that both machines came from Georgia Tech’s maintenance department.
