This saw was purchased from a local Craigslist ad the first week of September, 2021. The bottom of the table has a casting date of 12 31 64 indicating the table was cast on 12/31/1964. This specific base the saw sits on began to be included with the 2200 saw (model 2201 when purchased with the base) in 1964 which was after Wilton bought Boice-Crane. Wilton continued to use the Boice-Crane name at this point. The style of the 2200 saw changed in 1966 or 1967 with a different shape of cast iron arm and the throat increased from 24" to 25". Therefore, it's reasonable to assume this saw was assembled sometime in early 1965. It appears to have the original Baldor 1/3HP motor which was painted the original factory green. In addition, the original Cutler Hammer switch was cleaned and retained and all wiring replaced to incorporate a ground wire for safety. The machine was stripped to bare metal and painted John Deere green except for the table which was painted an almond color close to the original factory color. A square tubing, welded, base was built and locking casters added to make it mobile.
