I picked up this shaper about three years ago locally for a project I was working on. I ended up using a router over the shaper as the shaper was a little too small for my needs. I will probably hang onto it until I find one a little more useful for me in my shop, but this one does work. I was not able to locate a model number, but I do have a patent number of 1893080
