I got this autocrat for 45.00 from an estate sale. The Autocrat is unique since its the only Columbian vise that i am aware of that has a name along with a nomenclature. The autocrat came in two variants, the 414 with 4" jaws and the 415 like this one with 5" jaws. These vises were produced only over a 20 year period from 1977 through 1997 and were targeted at home auto shops. For this vise, I stripped it, cleaned it up, painted it an olive green, fabricated a new handle and painted the lettering with an enamel paint pen.
