This saw was sold to Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT - by the now defunct dealer Bidwell Hardware of Hartford, CT. Wesleyan's theater department put the saw to work for about 35 years, creating set pieces and props, before putting it in storage in the mid-2000s. I came to own the saw in early-2020, and over the next year gave it a full restoration, with all new, US-made belts, bearings, several fasteners and paint. As you can see in the 'before' picture, the saw came with the the 52" cast iron extensions wings. The existing 3 phase, 3/4hp motor was replaced by a new-old-stock Baldor 3hp, single phase unit, and the blade in there now is a Ridge Carbide TS2000 "Ultra", which cuts like a dream. I sourced a Biesemeyer T-Square fence setup, believed to be circa-1990s, which retrofit cleanly and without fuss.
Thanks for checking it out!
