Rigid arm scroll saw with 45° tilt table and 3/4" stroke.
Stroke is controlled by the upper external torsion spring along with a compression spring in the crankcase.
Uses 5" plain end blades.
The 2355B has no crankcase plug at the casting bottom, unlike the previous model 2355A.
>>HISTORY<<
February 2020:
Estate sale find in Dearborn Michigan.
I'm assuming it was purchased at the nearby Montgomery Ward that was on Michigan Ave. (hardware was located in the basement).
No further history is known.
June 2020:
General clean-up and lubrication.
Crankcase drained and refilled with SAE30 non-detergent oil.
Casting flash at the table stop screw jam nut was cleaned up using a die-grinder and rotary cutter.
Disassembled, cleaned, and oiled the dust blower.
February 2021:
Mounted to a Craftsman 18" scroll saw stand and connected to a 1941 Sears Dunlap 1/3 hp 1750 rpm motor with 2¼" pulley.
Runs and cuts well.
