The lathe was imported by Bevan and Edwards, Machinery Importers, Melbourne, Australia. I was interested in buying a lathe and mentioned it to one of my work colleagues who teaches metalwork. He mentioned that he had an old lathe that he wanted to sell so I went around for a look and bought it. He said it had come from Magnetic Island which is an offshore suburb of Townsville, Queensland. It seems to be in fairly good working order although there is some surface rust and the paintwork is in dire need of attention. I intend to tidy it up so I will probably submit updated photos some time in the future.
