I acquired this bandsaw from a local auction here in Edmonton, AB, from a machine shop that closed, apparently because of it's size, weight and possible difficulty in removal, I was the only bidder and got it for only C$70.00.
The machine is complete of all functioning parts, the only major issue was the badly pitted table top due to the fact that it was exposed to climate for most of it's previous life.
My restoration covers partial tear down of all major parts, deep cleaning, bare metal polishing, and general painting. As well, I made some upgrade to it's blade guide, upper blade guide assembly tensioner, table saw insert, dust chute, upper wheel/blade tracking window, and added a matching Fostoria lamp. In the future, I have plan to upgrade both upper and lower blade guide when the budget allow. I am very happy and satisfied with the outcome of my restoration of this beautiful huge bandsaw.
