I purchased this grinder from Hampden Paper in Holyoke, MA. The grinder and the base have similarish names but different manufacturers so it looks like the base is a previously unknown manufacturer (to me anyway) from right in Holyoke. The grinder is made by Standard Electrical Tool in Cincinnati Ohio but more interestingly the base is made by Standard Mach. Co., Holyoke Mass. The connection between the grinder and the base looks well made for a shop made piece but they did have a full machine shop so I guess that would not be surprising.... I can't tell about the quench cup shelf either....
