Restoration for a client of Walker Turner Serviced Machinery, LLC., Coventry, CT. We suggest the natural rubber pre-crowned tires with 2-part epoxy adhesive. This machine suffered from spun drive shaft bearings, which were dry, corroded, and had failed. The drive shaft was plasma spray repaired and machined / ground to tolerance. Blades are 96-5/8" and are easily available online. The original 1/2HP Driver Capacitor Start Motor provide ample power. The 600 pound weight of this machine provides for stability and no vibration. This machine sold for $355 in 1950, that would be $3600 in 2021 dollars. Would you pay that much for this machine new? Absolutely!
