No cool history behind this one that I'm aware of. I bought it from a guy that cleans out storage units. I was very happy to find one of these complete. All I've done so far is a rudimentary wipe down of it. It's in line to be disassembled, cleaned, bearings flushed and repacked and any bad wiring taken care of. I'll wait to see how the band cleans up. I've done a couple of pinstriped motor bands based on information found on OWWM with good results. If this band doesn't clean up well (I don't think it will), it'll be replaced. I'm hoping to save the original paint. The machine runs very smooth.
