This fine piece is manufactured by Bridgeport Hardware Mfg. Corp. Bridgeport Connecticut. It may be of interest that the motor is by the Teletype Co. Chicago, Ill. 1/25 HP. Probably designed to work on brass aluminum, plastic. It also has a speed control in the top drawer. The size of the motor is inadequate and I am look for a replacement either a 1/3 HP A.C. or a electro servo brushless. Do you think I should send the warranty card in? The motor is dated 1951. Anybody know anything about this company? I am going to begin restoration soon.
