I purchased this Drill Press off Facebook Marketplace for $60.00. The Drill Press had been in barn in central Georgia for several years with “heavy” rust. Getting the headstock off the column was an interesting challenge. I stripped it down and removed all the rust. I rebuilt the motor, cleaned and polished all the metal parts. Installed new bearings throughout, new feed rods, and a new Jacobs chuck. I fabricated an internal lamp/ power panel and a replacement stator band for the motor. I resurfaced the table and floor plate. I painted it with a maroon industrial chemical resistant spray paint ad polished all the exposed metal parts. The press now operates great and has less than .003 runout.
