I got this belt driven bench grinding unit sent to me from a grade school buddy in the Detroit area. It was in the basement of the house he bought in Warren, MI which belonged to his wife's Uncle who worked his whole life for Chrysler which may be where this grinder actually came from...lol

This seems to be a high quality cast iron unit with a beautiful Art-Deco style base design and it actually has ball bearings and not the bronze sleeve type bushings. It also has oil holes on the top casting for a drop of maintenance oil. This grinder came to me with only one tool post rest which is not flat but has a unique convex curved surface. There is on the inside casting raised letters that read "MAJESTIC 65" which is the only ID on this unit. I put a new 6" medium grit grinding wheel on it and a vintage industrial Craftsman wire wheel I had on hand. This unit should probably only be run slow at 1,725 rpm's and would make a very nice dedicated wired wheel or buffing unit.
