I bought this Lathe from a fellow in Edmonton that had had it for a while. He had it advertised on Kijiji for several weeks at $500 CDN. I made contact asking questions, but he was pretty firm on his price, Edmonton is 2 & 1/2 hours drive so I decided to wait, it was missing the tail stock after all. Weeks went by and it was still there, tried again. Pretty firm on that price, after all it has the cast leg stand! A few more weeks went by, I had seen 1 or 2 other nice Delta Rockwells (newer) come and go for less money, with more accessories. They were gone before I could get there. More time goes by, then he gets back to me. He's wondering if I'm willing to make an offer... Uuuh sure, (that darn cast iron stand)...what do you think of 400? Relatively short pause, yup I'll take it. He was very good to deal with, but it was a lot to pay. It does have a very nice dust collection hood setup, though my shop isn't set up with it yet. I'm pretty sure it would have come from a school shop somewhere as it's also got custom made belt guards in place too. I need to get some face plates so I can attempt to turn some bowls at least, but I would like to add the tailstock and most of the basic componets to try some turning. A restoration would be nice too.
