History is unknown: Original owner unknown: Acquired machine as a trade-in on a metalworking tool. No machine stand was included in the trade so a temporary stand was assembled for the time being.Lathe runs quite well & does show some wear on the bedway about a foot out in front of chuck, clutch, half nut, leadscrew & other assemblies all work well. No broken teeth on entire geartrain. Photo shows machine in "Barn Find Condition" no cleanup performed, original paint. Machine has original steady rest, follow rest, micrometer stop, taper attachment & (milling attachment not shown), all of which are in excellent condition.
