Metal detecting find in Wales, UK. Currently being researched - information welcomed. The wheel moves pleasingly freely in both directions; as it’s turned, listen closely and at one point you can hear something inside opening and closing. The lid hasn’t been unscrewed yet - still soaking in WD-40! Probably for sale. (Definitely for sale for silly money!) Contact me at ian@evans-from.wales

The correct way up, in my hand. That wheel turned as soon as it came out of the ground. Seriously good engineering!

The lettering. You can see where I caught the ‘C’ in ‘CUP’ with my spade. (Doh!)
