This is a factory NC machine using paper tape. The NC was built on contract by Advance Space Age Products (ASAP), Inc in Alexandria VA. The control logic consisted of about 100 TTL chips on two large PC boards and the control cabinet had manual thumbwheel input and a paper tape reader on the side. The servos operate at 3volts DC. Side travel is about 12" but only 3" front to rear. ASAP went out of business in 1971 and it is unknown if Hamilton continued the NC machines.
