I got it free on Craigslist. Really cool.
It’s so awesome compared to the tin can rattle toy I was using prior. Heavy as pew. The tilt mechanism is appropriate. Honest power. It can actually cut hardwood thicker than 3/4”. The fence mechanism is a dream compared to bump and measure then whisper and hope I dealt with before.
The solid extension is without support bars. I’m interested in recommendations for a substitute. The holes measure 1”. The motor power supply has become shorter than ideal. It needs replacement. The insulation is brittle. There is a 3/4” pipe extending from below the elevating screw well out the back, and there is a strap remnant bolted just above the pipe. I’m curious about the pipe’s function and what the broken strap is and it’s function.
I hope this is an appropriate comment.
(Admin BAK, 11/3/2020: Added Toolkraft as true manufacturer. The bar is probably some sort of tilt/carriage stabilizer. An ON/OFF toggle switch goes in the hole on the front panel lower right. The switch power cord to motor was probably attached to the broken plastic P-clamp.)
