Garage sale acquisition
Face of rotor has centrifugal wings that push Rosds passing through center of rotor and on the back side forces a ring that pushes the brushes away from rotor when running.

The contact at the brush ring is worn and needs to be repaired somehow. Might need a donor.

Update
I found that the "parallel motion fingers" which lift the brushes away from the commutator were worn and the brushes werent retracting,, causing what others tefer to as a light show.. i found NOS PM fingers #2008 are the right ones for the fix! These fingers have different part numbers for larger and smaller motors.
