This machine, which operates similar to a planer, was donated to the Illinois Railway Museum in Feb 2006 by Mr. Karl Thorsen of Rhinelander, WI. The bed can be dropped to accomodate stock up to six inches thick. In the Berlin catalog the claim is that this machine produces a product so smooth, it is ready for the varnish room.
