Purchased the machine Nov 25, 2018 for $50 Canadian plus taxes at a public auction of local school district power tool disposal. Unit dropped either in school shop or by movers to the auction site. Machine was listed as broken in sale literature. Upon taking the unit apart found the broken items included the cast base, cast iron frame, belt disc side guard, belt disc top cover, lever clamp assembly for belt sander table. Missing items included lower drive drum cover guard & internal dust deflector plus dust deflector for front side of drive drum and the back panel [motor end] of the stand.
By mid August 2020 had sourced all broken and missing items from the US except the stand panel and started to re-assemble. Sander operational on Sept 9, 2020 and my first vintage tool restoration was successful. Very impressed with this sanders operation.
