Background:
This shear was restored by another person who then listed it on CL. You can watch a video of his restoration here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqqScI5yImc . I had been searching for a while and jumped at the deal despite the price $$$. I don’t use it often but when I need to it’s the most fun tool in my shop. It is an amazing tool as it is so perfectly designed for its specific function, curves in sheet metal. Beverly made the design and every other throatless shear is a copy of a Beverly. In my area this is also a rare tool to find.
Machine Info:
It was restored well but not to the same level as I would prefer for one of my shop tools. It is not the original color as it is black instead of grey. And the badge was very sloppily hand painted in blue instead of orange which you can see it was originally in his video. I have plans to one day strip and paint the shear as well as to redo the badge.
Treatment:
I have not started my own restoration of this tool yet but if I do I will post photos here.
