Background:
This band saw was found on craigslist for $40, despite its worn appearance the motor hummed to life when plugged in and both wheels spun with a blade attached. This was sold by a man who said his grandfather had used it to make model ships. He had replaced the missing bottom wheel guard with a plywood one of his own construction and added a small riser block which increased the cut capacity ever so slightly. Before buying I knew I had a source for a replacement lower wheel guard, so it looked like an easy clean and paint job. However, when I disassembled the table, I discovered that the trunnion casting had been cracked in half. This was not noticed by me earlier because it had also been cleverly repaired. A steel plate was cut to exactly the right shape and both it and the casting were tapped and fit together with screws. The fix does the job but is a bit wobbly, I would prefer a new casting if I were to go forward with the saw. Anyone have a trunnion or need parts?

Machine Info:
The lower wheel guard is missing; original door hardware is missing.
The saw is powered by a ¼ Westinghouse Motor which I will list separately.

Treatment:
I already have a new lower guard and original hardware for the restoration.
The saw project is currently on hold. I don’t know what to do about the trunnion.
