Comments:
Obtained this quick acting vise as part of an Estate shop buyout circa 2005. Vise operates by sliding front jaw against the workpiece, then 1/4 turn of the handle draws the jaws tightly together by a cam action while simultaneously locking the vise by drawing the rack forward and up a ramp to fully engage the sawtoothed block in the fixed jaw. The vise operates quite smoothly and dependably without the tendency to need periodic cleaning like the half-nut style of quick acting vise.
