I met a FRIEND OF A FRIEND who needed money. The metal lathe had been setting outside at his house for years and belonged to his dad.I have a wood lathe ShopSmith and I have many a times in my life that if I had a metal lathe I could have made the piece. Right now I have a 2006 350 Z and the hatch (where the convertible top is stored) has a shoulder bolt that holds and pivots the half moon gear connected to the motor output gear. The bolt broke right where it turns from shoulder into threaded bolt. After the assembly is put together at factory the bolt is welded in place. To fix would have to buy the whole assembly. The lathe cleaned up amazingly well. From the research I have did they only made that model one year 1938
