I purchased this saw at a private sale in the Chicago area. The saw was originally owned by the Zenith Radio Corporation. It had been used in prototyping and was setup to cut metal & plastic parts. The original tilting rack & pinion fence is with the saw, but it has been modified by adding a steel faced aluminum tube where the face plate was.

This tube has a custom made locking mechanism at the back of the saw . The lock slides over a machined steel rail that has been attached to the rear edge of the table.

A steel rod with a hand knob runs through the fence to the locking mechanism. Pulling the knob turns the set screw and locks the fence in place.

The saw bears an asset tag from Zenith Radio Corporation

It also has a tag that indicates it was originally sold by Yates American Machinery

The oversized extension table on the right is not original It was fabricated from 3/4" plate steel and welded together with stainless steel rod. The saw has a 4 HP direct drive motor. This motor also bears a tag from Whitney. The motor has oil bath bearings.
