Just got back from my third twentyfive hundred mile road trip in the last three weeks.I Meet up with Bill Miner,Dana Batory and David Barabas.I had some good chats about
OWWM's with them and toured Bill and Dana's shops to look at their machinery. It was a real pleasure to meet with them. Now lets get to the Oliver 20" jointer,it is a belt drive, babbit bearing, center pedestal and tilt fence. The name "The Oliver" is cast into the front of the pedestal. It has a brass tag pinned to the end of the outfeed table with
the shop number of No.6.Is this the serial number? If it is could this is may be the oldest known Oliver jointer? The jointer is in very good condition and can be put right into service. The square cutter head was changed out to a three knife round cutterhead. The motor is 5 H.P.,fluid drive,220 volts,3 phase, belt drive. The babbit is in excellent condition. The infeed and outfeed tables are true and flat with the machined planer marks still there.
