Leonard Pollet of Schriever, La. acquired this machine from the widow of an antique gas engine and woodworking machine collector. This machine came with a 3 h.p. motor by Wagner Electric of St.Louis, Missouri. He uses this machine regularly in his homebuilding and cabinet business. After cleaning up the machine he installed a new blade made from new blade stock but was joined (welded) together to the correct length by heating and beating it together the old blacksmith way. It is a great cutting saw. After I used this saw, it became the reason I bought and restored an old bandsaw for myself.
