Came from the father of a childhood friend who was an amateur telescope maker and gunsmith. His grandfather taught industrial arts in Philly.The drive pulley was probably modified to v belts from flat belts. Has an odd 15/16 threaded snout on the headstock. I used power twist belting to replace the originals. Reversing motor. I freshened up the bearings in the carriage with new bushings where possible. Bronze headstock bearings. Has a unique mechanism to reverse the carriage feed and also has a power feed on the cross slide.
