I was given this machine in early 2020 by a man who acquired the machine from a family member. He wanted to convert it to a wood lathe, but decided not to. His wife suggested he give it to me and I immediately went and picked it up. I offered a little cash, but he declined. I started cleaning up a few parts and doing research and realized I had a small piece of vintage machinery. Within a couple months, I had the entire machine torn down, every screw/bolt removed, machine painted, and restored. I had very few broken parts to fabricate and replaced a handful of hardware with stainless, but mostly used the original parts when I could. I painted it red and black to try and match the "Craftsman" branding. I'm very satisfied with the results and plan to use it as often as I can. In addition, the bearings were marked 09-xx-1948
