I bought this from fellow OWWMer Jeff Singleton who deserves all the credit for an excellent restoration job. I don't know what it looked like when Jeff got it, but he did an enourmous amount of work, added to the machine's spindle collection and even installed a dust collecting attachment.
Then he sold it to me.
Its remarkable what an excellent machine the State B-4 is. It also has a remarkably small footprint which is good since my shop is starting to get a hair crowded. The dust collection device is about 90% efficient. This machine is from the second generation of State OSSers and uses the drop in spindles.
I didn't know how much I really needed a spindle sander until I got this one.

Up under the table. See the metal cap? See the opening of the dust port? See the over-excited new owner?
