First or second year issue New Old Stock 0228 drill. They first appeared in the 1982 catalog, but the owners manual for this drill is dated 1/83. Bought this on Ebay as a back up for my every day work drill (another 0228) for my business, but when I saw the early serial number I found a new Milwaukee box for it and put it in the closet. A back up was never needed anyway, after 25 years of constant use my old 0228 never had a single problem. This is why I am a Milwaukee guy.
