This is the second open stand D&W shaper I have acquired, and like the first it came with a large quantity of tooling.
The opportunity to imagine the lifetime of gainful work this machine accomplished with all that tooling was worth the price of entry to me.
The gray paint seems original and in uncommonly good condition. Curiously though both the motor and the spindle were not to be turned by hand, nor would the spindle elevation crank turn.
I will have to open it up to find out more.
