I purchased this from a craigslist ad about 2 years ago and I had to refurbish it, But it was very solid. Most of the work was cosmetic. I did replace the motor. I don't believe that motor was original as it was quite small. I believe this to be the base model that had no dust system as the hole has a cover that appears to be original. That also matches with the short model number. I expect this sander to outlast me by far.
