This motor was on an old Barnes metal lathe. It has what appear to be original wicks. The housing is completely made of cast iron and the base is integral. It is a heavy, solid motor that runs remarkably smoothly. The only change that I made was to replace the old and frayed cord with a new one (with a ground wire).
