This one was an interesting project. I bought this off a fellow who had purchased it from a High School in Michigan 30 years previously. He had torn it apart and had ordered some replacement parts for it but never put it back together so it sat like that until I bought it. As I did not have time to go through the various boxes I took his word that it was all there. Turned out to be missing the handles for the elevation and tilt lock, as well as the tube that held the splitter on the blade guard.
I managed to get the measurements for the handles from a fellow on OWWM who owned one of these saws and made some replacements. Also had a new tube and splitter bracket made. All the rest of the parts were there including the OME fence and mitre gauge.
Totally tore the saw apart and replaced all the bearing. Had a new tube bent at the muffler shop. New paint and lots of elbow grease finished it off.
What a beast. Heavy cast iron that runs like a dream. I especially like the way the elevation and tilt work on the rack and pinion gearing.
