I bought this Foley-Belsaw Model 490 10" cabinet saw off an online yardsale for $150. The biggest known issue was that the tabletop was mounted 180 degrees off from what it was supposed to be and the blade bevel adjustment wouldn't work properly, presumably due to this fact. Being mechanically-minded I went ahead and purchased it figuring I could always repair it. The table top appeared to be in excellent condition and other than the bevel adjustment, the saw still worked great. I took some measurements of the bevel adjustment rod and will machine a replacement.
The motor is an Emerson Motor Division Model C55XZDEN-2764, 1-1/2 HP 115V 17.5A with thermal protection. It uses a V-belt with multiple tracks to prevent slipping (visible in the photos).
The table top is cast iron. There is the center section and two wings, one on each side. Assembled the tabletop measures 28" x 40". The "stand" is hexagonal and the square base measures approximately 22.5" x 22.5". It has four adjustable feet at the corners of the base.
The fence and miter gauge appear to be original. The handle on the fence used to clamp it in place is not original, I added that myself. When I purchased the saw there wasn't a handle, so I cut off a piece from an old chair leg to use instead.
The bevel adjustment rod was unscrewed quite a ways by the previous owner which is why the bearing is about 3 inches out from where it belongs. There was also a cover over the bearing that I removed myself so I could remove the handle and flip the tabletop around.
This particular saw did not have the blade guard attached.
The main power switch was replaced with a light switch by a previous owner.
