Comments:
I believe this is a Dennis Machine 12" jointer, but unfortunately there are no nameplates on the machine. The machine was found in Mayville, Michigan which is about 120 miles from Jackson. The base and table locking knobs match the 1907 Wood Craft image,as well as the three bolt and remnants of the spline on the bearing mount. The cutterhead is a 2 knife head with grooves on the shaft for babbitt bearings, but I an not sure if it is original. The PO had no real information about the machine, or when the conversion was done. Judging by the size of 3ph 3HP motor, and the use of lead to align the motor mount plate, I would say it was done some time ago.
