I noticed this mortiser in the basement of a house I had been working on. I offered to trade some labor in exchange for the mortiser. It was the homeowners late husbands, he was a carpenter but I don’t think he used it much. I believe it to have came from a small local shop that made windows, screen doors etc. The machine was fitted with a small electric motor at some point. The bracket and connections were brazed and painted matching what looks like the original colour so it’s hard to say who or when the motor was added. Most examples I’ve seen were run off line shaft or just simply a chisel.

The mortiser after I dusted it off and replaced the wooden table and added a back fence to compensate for the uneven cast one

Table quickly adjusts with angles cast in the fence and a scribe line to indicate degrees. As well as in and out
