I bought this machine from my uncle for 60.00. He acquired it from an unknown source and did nothing with it. He finally decided to sell everything and called me. The machine was sold by Machinery Sales and Supply Co. Dallas Ft. Worth. It was not Running when I acquired it. However it proved to just be a bad Starter Switch. The Motor is a 2HP Motor. I am no sure if it is original, but it does run. I had a new Jet 6 inch jointer that I sold and used the funds to purchase a New SHELIX head cuter head for this jointer. The Jointer was missing all the Handles except the Main Bed raising and lowering handle and the Out feed adjustment handle. All the Fence handles were gone, I just used Items I had in my shop to make usable handles. I was not interested in paint being original as I plan to use this like it was a new one. Replaced bearings as well. I used a wire wheel on a 4 inch side grinder to clean off paint. Rust converter to handle any rust. I also polished all the nuts and bolts to clean the last 60 plus years off of them. Once I had painted I cleaned all holes with a Tap and bolts with a die. Reassembled and am now waiting on the SHELIX head to arrive. Very heavy machine.
