We bought the J.A. Fay planer several years ago. The fellow we bought it from told us that it came out of the old Kansas City street car and trolley maintenance shop.The planer has a 24"x6" capacity and has powered bed rollers. The table is lifted by a wedge-bed design, taking 32 turns of the handwheel to move the bed 1". It has a square, 2 knife cutterhead and the knives are stamped J.A. Fay & Eagan Co. S(?)A 9135.
