This Crescent variety wood-worker came from my grandfather's estate. It sat since the early 1970's at least in an open sided building so its tables are somewhat rust pitted. Its stablemate was a Hall & Brown 20" planer and they were powered by a big old 7 1/2 hp Westinghouse motor. There was a 16" rip saw with a wooden frame bolted on to the side of it which basically rendered the whole contraption useless. The Crescent, planer, motor and rip saw were all painted red so I assume they came from the same place. It has a square cutterhead and was originally painted satin black. The serial no. is stamped on the end of the outfeed table, #17430.
