Found this machine via an online classified ad in my hometown. Purchased the lathe on shop made base with short and long tool rest, large faceplate, and tools. Motor is not original, it appears to be from a not-so-vintage Delta tablesaw. Seller had procured machine from neighbor but never ended up using it.

In my pre-purchase research I found this machine was manufactured by Herberts Machinery Company in 1933 or 1934 for Craftsman. No serial number is to be found on the machine. "CRAFTSMAN" and "12" BALL BEARING" are obviously cast in the base, but there was also a "Craftsman Tools" decal on the lower left of the bed, as well as what appears to be a bearing decal on the outboard end of the base.

Prior to disassembly for restoration, I turned a few handles and spindles and she ran nicely! Fresh paint, new bearings, and another motor are in the works.
