Lathe from Duncan Electric (Landis+Gyr) Tool Room in Lafayette, Indiana. Duncan purchased new in early 1950s. Acquired 1995 for $150 from Landis & Gyr who purchased Duncan Electric. Came with 3-ph 480V motor, welded steel base with drawers, collets, two cross feed tables, chucks, collets and assorted bits of tooling. Replaced 3ph motor with a 1-1/2 hp variable speed DC treadmill motor. Continue to acquire Hardinge tooling including 4-jaw and 3 jaw chucks, and 4 tool indexing tool rest.
